Adilet party wins Kazakh elections with 71.17% of vote, another 4 parties gain parliament seats - CEC, citing preliminary results

ASTANA. Aug 24 (Interfax) - Five parties have passed the 5% election threshold and won seats on the Kurultai (unicameral parliament) in Kazakhstan, Kazakh Central Elections Commission (CEC) Chairman Nurlan Abdirov said, citing preliminary information.

The ruling party Adilet is leading with 71.17% of the vote.

Following are Auyl with 6.26% of the vote and Respublica with 5.56%, Abdirov said.

The Ak Zhol Democratic Party gained 5.21% of the vote, and the Nationwide Social Democratic Party got 5.11%.

The People's Party of Kazakhstan, which got 3.11% of the vote, and the Baitak Green Party with 1.07% of the vote failed to pass the 5% threshold.
