Foreign ministers of Kazakhstan, the Netherlands discuss safety of navigation, energy resources supply
ASTANA. Aug 19 (Interfax) - Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev has held a phone talk with Tom Berendsen, foreign minister of the Netherlands, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry press service said on Wednesday.
The sides discuss vital issues relating to cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands, giving special attention to further development of trade-economic and investment relations between the two countries, the press service said.
Special attention was given to issues concerning the safety of international navigation and stability of supplies of Kazakh energy resources to European markets. The importance of ensuring the reliability of international transport and energy routes was emphasized.
The ministers noted the high level of economic partnership and considerable potential for its further expansion. In this context, the possibilities of implementing joint projects and deepening interaction in priority sectors of the economy that are of mutual interest were discussed.
The sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening relations and maintaining regular contacts on various levels.
