Russia's grain harvest approaches 100 mln tonnes in 2026- agriculture minister

MOSCOW. Aug 19 (Interfax) - Russia's grain harvest is approaching 100 million tonnes, and local fuel problems are being resolved quickly, Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut told the Izvestia publication.

Russia will meet its entire domestic grain demand in the coming days, she said.

Lut acknowledged that Ukrainian drone attacks are causing local fuel problems for farmers, though the Energy Ministry is responding promptly.

"Our farmers are a priority when it comes to fuel supplies. The Energy Ministry is personally involved in our farmers' issues. It is clear that terrorist attacks could cause certain imbalances in the regions. Meantime, the Energy Ministry and major companies are quickly redistributing resources and directing them to those regions experiencing local shortages," Lut said.
