Rosatom planning to send several dozen more specialists to Iran's Bushehr NPP in Sept, total number of staff there could exceed 100 - CEO

MOSCOW. Aug 18 (Interfax) - Several dozen Russian specialists from Rosatom will travel to Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in September so that the total amount of its employees working at the NPP exceeds 100 people, Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev said.

"We're planning another group, several dozen people, in September so that we're approaching the presence of over 100 of our people there," Likhachev told Interfax on Tuesday.

"It is not a complete resumption yet, but an opportunity to continue construction and not to halt it. Both our customers Iranian partners, and Rosatom will make all possible effort to maintain the construction among Rosatom's priorities," he said.

The total number of Russian specialists at the Bushehr NPP currently stands at 25.
