Azerbaijan increases gasoline production 2% in Jan-July 2026, diesel production down 2%

BAKU. Aug 18 (Interfax) - Production of petroleum products in Azerbaijan in monetary terms amounted to 3.46 billion manat ($2 billion at the current exchange rate) in January-July 2026, down 4.9% year-on-year, according to materials from the country's State Statistics Committee.

According to statistics, the output of automobile gasoline increased 2.3% in 7M to 828,400 tonnes, production of lubricating oils was up 20.1% to 26,300 tonnes, production of petroleum coke rose 10% to 140,300 tonnes and production of fuel oil grew 31.1% to 74,200 tonnes.

Production of gasoil (diesel fuel) decreased 1.9% in the reporting period to 1.36 million tonnes, production of jet kerosene fell 20.3% to 322,600 tonnes, production of petroleum bitumen declined 42.2% to 81,700 tonnes and production of liquefied gases was down 19.8% to 107,200 tonnes.

As of August 1, the following finished product stocks were available at the warehouses of the Baku Oil Refinery: 53,700 tonnes of automobile gasoline, 25,200 tonnes of jet kerosene, 128,400 tonnes of gasoil, 5,100 tonnes of fuel oil, 800 tonnes of lubricating oils, 2,600 tonnes of liquefied gas, 14,700 tonnes of petroleum bitumen and 26,200 tonnes of petroleum coke.

The official exchange rate on August 18 is 1.7 manat/$1.
