Patrushev visits Moscow region's Kompozit enterprise, discusses its cooperation with shipyards - Maritime Board

MOSCOW. Aug 17 (Interfax) - Russian presidential aide and Maritime Board Chairman Nikolai Patrushev has visited the Kompozit enterprise in the Moscow region to discuss its cooperation with shipyards, the board's press service said in a statement on Monday.

"Kompozit's general director Alexander Beresnev has demonstrated the enterprise's capabilities to create composite materials for shipbuilding to the presidential aide. Separate attention was paid to naval additive manufacturing technologies, the use of 3D printing of complex shapes for ship- and vessel-building," the statement said.

During the visit Patrushev discussed the company's cooperation with shipyards and St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University.

"The head of the Maritime board noted the significance of the enterprise's expertise and the design and experimental work it is doing," the statement said.
