Russia's consolidated budget deficit widens to 5.45 trillion rubles in H1 - Treasury

MOSCOW. Aug 17 (Interfax) - Russia had a consolidated budget deficit of 5.448 trillion rubles for the first half of 2026, according to a preliminary estimate, the Federal Treasury said on its website.

The consolidated budget deficit for January-May 2026 was 4.959 trillion rubles, so there was a deficit of 488.6 billion rubles in June.

Consolidated budget revenue was 37.886 trillion rubles in H1 2026. Consolidated expenditure was 43.334 trillion rubles.

There was a federal budget deficit of 5.865 trillion rubles in H1 and 5.927 trillion rubles in 5M 2025, so there was a surplus of 61.5 billion rubles in June. Revenue was 18.525 trillion rubles and spending 24.391 trillion rubles in H1.

Constituent members or regions of the Russian Federation had a consolidated budget deficit of 134.2 billion rubles in H1 2026, with revenue of 12.445 trillion rubles and expenditure of 12.579 trillion rubles.

The budgets of state extra-budgetary funds had a surplus of 416.6 billion rubles in the six months, with revenue of 11.587 trillion rubles and expenditure of 11.17 trillion rubles.

The budgets of territorial state extra-budgetary funds had a surplus of 135.3 billion rubles, with revenue of 2.094 trillion rubles and expenditure of 1.959 trillion rubles.
