Belaz ships dump trucks for coal metal ore deposits in Russia's Kuzbass, Urals

MINSK. Aug 12 (Interfax) - The Belaz truck maker from Belarus has shipped 130- and 240-tonne dump trucks to mines in Russia's Kemerovo and Sverdlovsk regions, the company's press office said.

"Coal mines operated by Kuzbassrazrezugol have received 220-tonne Belaz-7530G and 240-tonne Belaz-7531 trucks," it said.

An extensive upgrade of the quarry equipment is also underway in the southern Kemerovo region, where a batch of 15 Belaz-7513D dump trucks with capacity of 130 tonnes has been shipped.

The Kemerovo region is home to Russia's coal-rich Kuznetsk coal basin, or Kuzbass.

"In Russia, Belaz supplies not only Kuzbass but also other mining regions. A batch of eight 130-tonne dump trucks of two models-the Belaz-7513T and Belaz-7513D-has been shipped to the Sverdlovsk region," the company said.

Belaz is one of the world's biggest producers of dump trucks and transport equipment for the mining and construction industries. The plant held approximately 30% of the global market for heavy-duty mining trucks before Western sanctions were imposed.
