Turkmenistan, Saudi Arabia express commitment to interaction in int'l organization
ASHGABAT. Aug 11 (Interfax) - Turkmen Deputy Foreign Minister Akhmet Gurbanov has discussed with Saudi Ambassador in Ashgabat Amer bin Ali Al-Shehri the development of bilateral relations, including the interaction on international platforms, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said on its website on Tuesday.
The parties to the meeting paid special attention to the strengthening of a political and diplomatic dialogue, the expansion of commercial and economic ties and the development of cooperation in the areas of mutual interest, the ministry said in a statement.
The diplomats exchanged views on the interaction as part of international organizations, emphasizing the importance of constructive cooperation on multilateral platforms. Relevant issues on the international and regional agenda were discussed.
The parties expressed mutual readiness to continue regular contacts and work together on the strengthening of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia in conclusion of the meeting, the statement said.
