Belarusian Ministry of Finance places $30 mln more bonds to complete issue

MINSK. Aug 10 (Interfax) - Belarusian Ministry of Finance has completed the placement of five-year forex bonds of issue No. 337 totaling $29.9 million on the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange, the ministry's press service reported.

The ministry placed $20.1 million of government bonds in an auction on the exchange in February. The volume of the overall issue is $50 million.

As such, all of the bonds from this issue have now been sold to investors after the second stage of the placement.

During the auction in February, the coupon rate was set at 2.9% per annum for the whole circulation period. The coupon payments are to be made twice per year. The face value of the bonds is $1,000, and they mature on January 28, 2031.

Investors have the option to redeem the bond early either by the initiative of the owners or the Ministry of Finance with the owner's consent, on the basis of a resolution on premature redemption.
