Pensions to grow in Kyrgyzstan on Oct 1
BISHKEK. Aug 10 (Interfax) - The insurance part of pensions will increase and the minimal pension will be raised to 8,800 som ($100) in Kyrgyzstan on October 1, the Kyrgyz presidential administration said in a statement on Monday.
According to the Kyrgyz National Statistical Committee, the consumer price index stood at 108.2%, and the average wage grew 117.6% in 2025. The estimated indexation coefficient is 1.13.
Given financial capabilities of the Social Funds budget and the aspiration to give additional support to pensioners, the indexation coefficient for the insurance part of pensions will stand at 1.20 starting on October 1.
Besides, newly appointed pensions cannot be lower than 8,800 som ($100)
The Social Fund tentatively estimates the number of pensioners at 832,400 as of October 1. The Pension Fund will allot 4.4 billion som ($50.3 million) for the pension raise.
That will increase an average pension to 12,898 som ($147), and an average increase will amount to 1,753 som or 116% as of the pension raise moment.
