Participants of Russian-Kyrgyz Economic Forum sign agreements worth $800 mln

CHOLPON-ATA. Aug 6 (Interfax) - Participants of the 8th Russian-Kyrgyz Economic Forum in Cholpon-Ata have signed agreements worth $800 million, Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund CEO Artem Novikov told journalists on Thursday.

"According to our preliminary estimates, over 40 documents have been signed for an overall sum exceeding $800 million. This includes investment agreements, agreements on the implementation of major infrastructure projects and joint import and export contracts between entrepreneurs from both countries," Novikov said.

He said that agreements had also been made on developing ties between regions and cities in both countries.

"The documents signed encompass solar power plant construction projects and the development of infrastructure for Kyrgyz Railways. An agreement was also signed on the establishment of a seamless mobile operator which will significantly simplify mobility and connectivity between both states," Novikov said.
