Kyrgyz-Russian economic forum begins in Cholpon-Ata - Russian-Kyrgyz development fund CEO

CHOLPON-ATA. Aug 5 (Interfax) - The 8th Kyrgyz-Russian economic forum, Kyrgyzstan 2030: Partnership between Regions of Kyrgyzstan and Russia as a Growth Driver, has begun in Cholpon-Ata, Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund CEO Artyom Novikov said.

"This forum is a flagship event for the development of bilateral trade, economic, investment and interregional cooperation, the expansion of business relations, and the promotion of projects involving regions and businesses of both countries," Novikov said.

The forum is a unique opportunity to establish direct business contacts with officials and entrepreneurs from both counties, to present investment projects and find partners for implementing joint initiatives, he said.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk leads the Russian delegation to the forum, and Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev is his Kyrgyz counterpart.
