Lavrov to lead Russian delegation to 81st UNGA session in New York - Putin's decree

MOSCOW. Aug 4 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will lead the Russian delegation to the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a relevant decree.

The delegation will also include Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov, Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Grigory Karasin, State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Leonid Slutsky, and Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya, the decree, published on the official legal information website on Tuesday, said.

In addition, the delegation comprises the Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Department for New Challenges and Threats, Pyotr Ilyichyov, the Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Department for International Organizations, Kirill Logvinov, the Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Department for Multilateral Human Rights Cooperation, Grigory Lukyantsev, and the Russian Foreign Ministry's Legal Department Director Maxim Musikhin.

The Russian Foreign Ministry was also instructed to approve the roster of advisers, experts and technical personnel joining the delegation.

The 81st UNGA session will take place in New York in September.
