Kazakhstan, Full Vision to create green aviation fuel ecosystem in Alatau
ASTANA. Aug 4 (Interfax) - Kazakh authorities have signed a memorandum of understanding on the Green Kazakhstan project, which envisions the creation of an integrated ecosystem in the city of Alatau for the production of sustainable aviation fuel, the government press service reported.
The document was signed by the Alatau City Authority, the ministries of energy, agriculture and transport, and Hong Kong-based Full Vision Capital following a meeting on Tuesday between Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and company founder Peter Li.
The memorandum provides for exploring the creation of a full production cycle for SAF from cultivating agricultural feedstock to processing and manufacturing finished product. In addition, the parties will study opportunities to introduce smart energy solutions and nickel-hydrogen energy storage systems to enhance the reliability of power supply and integrate renewable energy sources.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for long-term cooperation in the energy sector, including the development of clean aviation fuel production, smart energy solutions and advanced energy storage systems. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the first pilot project on the territory of Alatau.
