Diamond miner Alrosa swings to 10.7 bln rubles net loss to RAS in H1

MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - Alrosa swung to a net loss of 10.67 billion rubles under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) in H1 2026, from profit of 39 billion rubles a year previously, the diamond miner said.

Other income was 2.4 billion rubles in H1 2026, down from 53.1 billion rubles, including 30 billion rubles from the sale of a stake in the Catoca mine in Angola, a year ago.

Sales revenue fell 36% year-on-year to 74.2 billion rubles in H1 2026.

Cost of sales fell 20% to 69.5 billion rubles.

Operating losses were 5 billion rubles in H1 2026, compared with profit of 19.2 billion rubles a year previously.

Alrosa's RAS financial statements are unconsolidated and do not include its subsidiaries, the largest of which are Almazy Anabara and Severalmaz .
