Kyrgyz, Azerbaijani reps sign number of bilateral cooperation documents

BISHKEK. July 31 (Interfax) - A ceremony to sign and exchange bilateral documents aimed at enhancing transport, logistics, energy, investment, digital, financial and humanitarian cooperation between Bishkek and Baku has taken place during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's state visit to Kyrgyzstan.

The Kyrgyz and Azerbaijani president signed a treaty on allied relations between their countries.

The bilateral documents signed in Bishkek include an agreement on international automobile traffic, a 2026-2027 roadmap for cooperation in the energy sector, and a memorandum of cooperation in freight transport, vessel traffic and shipbuilding.

The two countries' energy ministries signed a memorandum of cooperation in deliveries of oil and petroleum products.

In addition, six cities of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan signed memorandums on twin-city relations and mutual cooperation. These are Shusha and Cholpon-Ata, Gabala and Karakol, as well as Ganja and Osh.
