Tax revenues to Russian budget rise 8% to 31 trln rubles in H1- Federal Tax Service

MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax) - Tax revenues to the Russian budget rose 8% year-on-year to 31 trillion rubles in H1 2026, the Federal Tax Service (FTS) said in materials prepared for the meeting between Daniil Yegorov, Director of the Federal Tax Service, and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"Revenues to the Russian budget totaled 31 trillion rubles in the first half of 2026, exceeding last year's figures by 8%, or 2.4 trillion rubles. Regional budgets also increased 8%. The federal budget increased 6% year-on-year to 765 billion rubles. Non-resource revenues accounted for 90% of budget revenues, with a 25% increase," according to the materials.

The FTS also reported that amendments to the Tax Code regarding the boost in the VAT rate from 20% to 22% generated 426 billion rubles into the budget over the first six months of 2026."
