Uzbekistan sees H1 inflation of 3.3%

TASHKENT. July 28 (Interfax) - Consumer prices in Uzbekistan rose 3.3% in the first half of 2026, including 0.6% in June, the National Statistical Committee said.

Annual inflation in June was 6.4%.

Food prices in Uzbekistan increased 1.7% in January-June, falling 1.4% in June and rising 6.3% year-on-year; non-food prices rose 3.9%, 2.3%, 5.9% respectively and services 4.1%, 1.8% and 7.1%.

Inflation was 4.2% in H1 2025. The annual figure was 8.7%.

Prices minus fruit and vegetables rose 1.5% MoM and 6.9% YoY in June and 4.2% in H1 2026.

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan's baseline scenario is for inflation to slow to 6.5% in 2026 from 7.3% in 2025.
