Cost of joint investment projects between Belarus, China reaches $5 bln - Belarusian govt
MINSK. July 24 (Interfax) - Joint investment projects between Belarus and China have an overall budget of $5 billion, Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov said.
"At present, the active investment package with China comprises around 80 projects for an overall sum of $5 billion," Snopkov was quoted by state news agency BelTA as saying on Friday at a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on key investment projects with foreign countries.
"This is not only those [projects] which are being implemented in Belarus, first and foremost at the Great Stone industrial park, but also joint projects overseas, and also several in China itself," Snopkov said.
He said that Belarus and China were currently in the active phase of their "Years of Industrial Cooperation" [2026-2027].
"Over 20 projects costing around $3 billion in total have been initiated in the past four months alone. And these are extraordinary projects," Snopkov said.
