Azerbaijan sees 3.5% inflation in H1
BAKU. July 21 (Interfax) - Consumer prices in Azerbaijan rose 3.5% in H1 2025, the State Statistics Committee told Interfax.
Foodstuffs rose 4.4% in price, non-food goods 2.4% and service charges 3.1%.
Inflation was 2.7% in Q1 and 0.8% in Q2 2026.
The average annual inflation rate was 5.7% at end-June, compared with 5.6% at end-2025. Price growth for food slowed to 6.6% from 6.8%, for non-foods goods it rose to 3.8% from 2.5% and for services it fell to 5.7% from 6.5%.
The Economy Ministry forecasts 5.6% average annual inflation in 2026.
Consumer prices rose 5.4% in 2025.
