Online cinema Wink launches subscription service in Tajikistan
MOSCOW. July 20 (Interfax) - Russia's online cinema Wink (Restream Media LLC), a joint venture between PJSC Rostelecom and NMG, has launched subscription service in Tajikistan, and the MegaFon Tajikistan mobile operator is Wink's partner in the country, the company said.
Users in Tajikistan now have access to over 35,000 movies, TV series and cartoons via subscription.
"We see great potential in Central Asia. Some national markets are currently growing at double-digit rates, and consumption of high-quality paid content is rapidly increasing. We plan to expand our partnership further with the region's largest telecom operators," Wink CEO Anton Volodkin said in the statement.
Tajikistan has become the third neighboring country to offer the online cinema service. Wink is available to residents of Armenia as of 2022, and Belarus as of 2025.
