Six coronavirus cases registered in Russia since mid-Feb
MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Six confirmed coronavirus cases have been registered in Russia to date, the country's Federal Service for Health and Consumer Rights (Rospotrebnadzor) said.
These cases include two Chinese citizens who fully recovered and were discharged from the hospital in mid-February, and three Russians who were evacuated from the Diamond Princess cruise ship and are currently under quarantine in Kazan. The sixth patient was identified on Monday - a Russian man who recently returned from Italy, Rospotrebnadzor said in its daily report on the Covid-19 situation in Russia.
All Russian border crossings have tightened screening for people arriving from coronavirus-affected regions with the use of stationary and mobile thermal imaging equipment, the service said. A set of anti-epidemic measures are in place.
