Belarusian industrial output decline slows to 0.7% in H1

MINSK. July 16 (Interfax) - Belarusian industrial output fell 0.7% year-on-year at constant prices to 102.7 billion Belarusian rubles in January-June 2026, national statistical committee Belstat said.

Output fell 1.5% in January-May, 2.5% in January-April and 3.4% in the first quarter.

The manufacturing industry again affected output most of all - this fell 2.1% in H1 and 3.2% in 5M 2026. Output rose in the extractive industry in H1, by 2.6%. It grew 7.9% in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning and 1.4% in water utilities.

Industry fell 1.8% in 2025, grew 5.4% in 2024 and 7.7% growth in 2023, and fell 5.4% in 2022.
