Money supply in Uzbekistan grows 12% in H1 2026
TASHKENT. July 15 (Interfax) - Uzbekistan's broad money supply (M2, cash, time deposits, demand deposits and deposits) increased 12.3% to 425.129 trillion sum in H1 2026, according to materials from the country's Central Bank.
In the structure of the money supply, cash in circulation (M0 aggregate) as of June 30 amounted to 75.259 trillion sum (+9.9%).
The M1 monetary aggregate (cash, demand deposits and deposits) grew 10.8% to 160.412 trillion sum.
Deposits in foreign currency increased 2.4% over this period to 71.226 trillion sum. The share of deposits in foreign currency in the structure of the broad money supply amounted to 16.8% at the end of June compared to 69.5% as of December 31, 2025.
