Aeroflot Group's passenger traffic down 4.3% amid flight restrictions in June

MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - The passenger traffic of Aeroflot Group decreased 4.3% year-on-year in June 2026 to 5.1 million people, the company said.

Traffic fell 9.1% on domestic routes, amounting to 3.8 million passengers, while on international routes it grew 13.9% to 1.3 million.

The company attributed the negative dynamics of passenger traffic to temporary flight restrictions (as part of the special regime), as well as changes in the traffic structure - capacity from short routes, such as Moscow - St. Petersburg, was redirected to long-haul routes.

The group's total passenger traffic reached 26 million people in H1 2026, up 0.3% from a year earlier. A total of 19.1 million people were carried on domestic routes (-2.9%), and 6.9 million on international routes (+10.3%). Seat occupancy was 90.9% (+1.7 percentage points).
