Kazakhstan's GDP grows 4.1% in H1
ASTANA. July 13 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's GDP expanded by 4.1% in the first half of 2026, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said at a meeting with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the presidential press service said.
Manufacturing contributed 9.8% to economic growth, transport 7.1% and construction 15.2%, the prime minister said. Trade rose 5.7%, agriculture 4.4% and communications services 4.3%.
Capital investment reached 9.5 trillion tenge, with private investment inflows up 21.4%.
The economy grew 3.7% in the first five months of 2026, 3.6% in 4M and 3% in Q1, according to earlier reports.
Kazakhstan's GDP expanded 6.5% in 2025. The prime minister earlier instructed the government to ensure sustainable economic growth above 5% in 2026.
