Russia to finalize rules of permitting automobiles to operate as taxis in special govt resolution - ministry
MOSCOW. July 8 (Interfax) - Cars allowed to operate as taxis in Russia must have at least 1,500 localization points and investments in their localization over the last two years must be at least 10 billion rubles, according to a special government resolution as part of the taxi localization law, the Industry and Trade Ministry press service said on Wednesday.
The ministry said that the government had agreed on corresponding additional conditions.
"The possibility of including a model in the list is considered if the automobile accumulates at least 1,500 localization points excluding research and development, while investments by the manufacturing company in the development of production over the last two years must be at least 10 billion rubles," the press release says.
These requirements have already been met by models from the Haval, Tenet, Omoda and Jetour brands, already in the list.
"In the near future, the list will be expanded to include new models by Jetour, Tenet, Omidq and Jeland," the ministry said.
