Canada imposes sanctions against Russian exchanges
MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - Canada has added six Russian trading venues to its sanctions list, including the Moscow Exchange and SPB Exchange , according to a document on the Canadian government's website.
The sanctions also targeted the Eastern Exchange, the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX), the National Commodity Exchange, and the St. Petersburg Currency Exchange.
The Moscow Exchange has been on the U.S. sanctions list since mid-2024, the SPB Exchange since the end of 2023.
