Russia continuing active work on construction of Bushehr NPP - Rosatom head

MOSCOW. June 15 (Interfax) - Russia continues active work on the construction of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran and is ready to return to the plant for large-scale resumption of the work, Rosatom head Alexei Likhachev said.

"Our engineers, the 20 who remain there on the site, are actively working with local contractors. The creation of energy equipment for the first and second nuclear power units is actively taking place directly at our machine-building enterprises," he said in an interview with Vesti.

"Rosatom has prepared a plan to restore the number of personnel at the Bushehr NPP, but the trigger for this plan is an agreement on a ceasefire," Likhachev said.
