Construction to begin this year on Sberbank's Novosibirsk techno-park for IT companies - authorities
NOVOSIBIRSK. June 10 (Interfax) - Construction should begin on Sberbank's techno-park for IT companies in Novosibirsk by the end of 2026, regional governor Andrey Travnikov said on Wednesday on VGTRK.
"One could say this is a dual-use project. First, Sber Group is constructing new premises to house its IT departments, but it is also considering attracting colleagues. Second, the building will have the status of a techno-park, and we hope that specialized departments of IT, development, and other large companies interested in personnel in this specialization will also be based there," Travnikov added.
The project is reportedly valued at 10 billion rubles. The plan is to create a 55,000-square-meter space with 2,500 workstations.
The project includes multifunctional spaces that can be customized based on demand and the number of participants. Construction of Sberbank's tech hub is the first stage of the complex's development.
Sberbank, the Novosibirsk Region government, and the special-purpose developer VKD-1, part of VerbaCapital-Development Group, will work on the project. The corresponding agreement was signed at the 2026 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
The agreement outlines the key parameters and conditions of the technology park, namely government support and special conditions for residents, partnerships with universities to train specialists, attracting Russian and international investors, and integrating the projects of technology park residents into programs of regional digitalization and urban development.
The site will serve as a pilot site for new solutions in artificial intelligence, big data, and cybersecurity, the regional government press service clarified.
