ST. PETERSBURG. June 5 (Interfax) - Rosatom state nuclear energy corporation expects power startups at two units in China in 2027, namely at unit 8 of the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant and at unit 4 of the Xudapu NPP, Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev told reporters on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"We expect power startups at unit 7 at Tianwan and at unit 3 at Xudapu this year, and at unit 8 at Tianwan and at unit 4 at Xudapu next year," Likhachev said.
Framework contracts for these projects were signed several years ago, and construction began in the spring of 2022.
