Stavropol Territory to use Interfax IT solutions for digital transformation

ST. PETERSBURG, June 3 (Interfax) - The Stavropol Territory and Interfax Group have signed a cooperation agreement to develop economic information systems, analytics and data processing as part of the region's digital transformation.

Stavropol Territory Governor Vladimir Vladimirov and Interfax Executive Director Alexander Veklich signed the agreement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"Interfax has long proven itself not only as one of the country's largest news agencies, but also as a developer of digital information and analytical solutions that help build effective economic models and develop business and regional economies. Cooperation in this field will be benefit the Stavropol Territory," Vladimirov said.

The agreement provides for the joint development of proposals for the automated processing of datasets to simulate and forecasting the territory's financial and economic development, assessing existing business support measures and identify areas of economic growth.

Interfax will participate in the regional government's digital projects, including as an expert in SPARK, SCAN and Marker information and analytical services as well as API solutions for automating big data processing.

Interfax's Veklich said federal and regional government bodies were making active use of the Interfax Group's digital resources to automate anti-corruption measures, combat abuse in procurement and analyze and forecast economic processes.

"As part of our cooperation, we plan to develop joint initiatives to assess the region's economy, manage budget risks and analyze investment projects," he said.
