Gas production in Uzbekistan down 16% in Jan-April, oil production falls 2.5%

TASHKENT. June 1 (Interfax) - Gas production in Uzbekistan amounted to 12.6 billion cubic meters in January-April 2026, according to materials from the country's Statistical Office.

According to the agency, 15 bcm of gas were produced in the country in January-April 2025. This figure therefore fell 16% in January-April 2026.

Production of gas condensate in Uzbekistan amounted to 319,300 tonnes in the reporting period, down 19.2%.

According to the agency, the country's oil production amounted to 209,000 tonnes in January-April, down 2.5%, coal production stood at 1.3 million tonnes (-27.8%), motor gasoline production was 417,500 tonnes (+7.1%) and diesel fuel production totaled 381,000 tonnes (+17.1%).

As reported, gas production in Uzbekistan amounted to 42.3 bcm in 2025, up 2.4%, oil production stood at 655,700 tonnes (-7.9%), coal production amounted to 8.9 million tonnes (+8.5%), motor gasoline production was 1.2 million tonnes (-6.7%) and diesel fuel production increased 18.6% to 1.158 million tonnes.
