Rosatom preliminarily confirms potential of lithium project in Mali
MOSCOW. May 29 (Interfax) - Rosatom state nuclear energy corporation has preliminary confirmed the potential of a site for lithium mining following geological exploration in Mali, according to JSC Atomenergoprom's 2025 annual report.
"An annual program of geological exploration has been completed as part of the lithium project in Mali. Preliminary results confirm the geological potential of the licensed site," according to the annual report.
Furthermore, the report notes ongoing collaboration with Bolivia's Nacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB) state-owned company on lithium matters as part of a joint project to build an industrial complex for lithium carbonate production in Bolivia.
