Russian FM, Srbijagas Supervisory Board chair discuss bilateral cooperation in key areas, including energy - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. May 26 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with Chairman of the Srbijagas Supervisory Board Aleksandar Vulin in Moscow on Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"The parties discussed the state of Russian-Serbian cooperation in key areas, including energy, and the implementation of the agreements reached following the 21st session of the Russian-Serbian Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation, which took place in Belgrade on April 24," the ministry said in a statement published on its website.

The meeting also "addressed the situation in the Balkans."

"The paramount importance of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 in the context of resolving the Kosovo issue was underscored, and mutual interest in maintaining stability in the region was noted," the statement said.
