Russia, Brazil plan to sign new agreement on collaborating in nuclear energy - Russian ambassador to Brazil
BRASILIA. May 25 (Interfax) - Russia and Brazil are working on a new nuclear energy collaboration agreement, and Rosatom state nuclear energy corporation has good prospects on the Brazilian market, Russian Ambassador to Brazil Alexei Labetsky told reporters on Monday on the sidelines of a meeting of the Russia-Brazil intergovernmental commission in Brasilia.
"Negotiations on the topic are ongoing, and there are many technical issues," Labetsky said about the prospects for collaboration in nuclear energy, particularly plans to build floating nuclear power plants in Brazil.
"The discussion is currently focused on signing a new nuclear energy collaboration agreement, which is currently under consideration by the two countries," Labetsky said.
"Rosatom is active here, and they have good prospects," Labetsky said about the state corporation's prospects on the Brazilian market.
