Putin, Xi to discuss cooperation, global events - Chinese Foreign Ministry

BEIJING. May 19 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping will exchange views on bilateral cooperation and global and regional events, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said, commenting on Putin's upcoming visit to China.

"During President Putin's visit, the two heads of state will exchange views on bilateral cooperation in various fields and on international and regional issues of mutual interest," the Global Times quoted Guo as saying on Tuesday.

As reported earlier, Putin will pay an official visit to China on May 19-20 at the invitation of Xi.
