Agricultural output in Kazakhstan grows 3.6% in 4M

ASTANA. May 18 (Interfax) - Agricultural output in Kazakhstan grew 3.6% year-on-year in January-April to 1.25 trillion tenge, the National Statistics Bureau said.

Crop production grew 7.6% to 70.6 billion tenge while livestock production rose 3.5% to 1.16 trillion tenge.

As of May 1, 2026, the number of cattle in Kazakhstan had grown 3.4% year-on-year to 9.77 million, horses 7.1% to 5.1 million, sheep 1.6% to 23.4 million, goats 2.3% to 2.2 million, pigs 6.5% to 564,700 and poultry 0.6% to 48.2 million
