EAEU agricultural producers increase prices for their products 0.6% in March - EEC

MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - Agricultural producers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) increased prices for their products 0.6% month-on-month in March 2026, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) said.

In particular, the increase was 1.1% in Armenia, 0.1% in Belarus, 1.6% in Kazakhstan, 6.4% in Kyrgyzstan and 0.2% in Russia.

Producers of crop products reduced prices 0.3%. In Belarus the decrease was 0.3% and in Russia it was 1%. In Armenia prices rose 2.7%, in Kazakhstan they increased 0.6% and in Kyrgyzstan they rose 11%. Producers of livestock products increased prices 1.4% over the month. In Armenia, the increase was 0.3%, in Belarus it was 0.2%, in Kazakhstan it was 4.3%, in Kyrgyzstan it was 1.9% and in Russia it was 1.2%.

According to the EEC, agricultural producer prices rose 0.5% in March compared to December 2025, including a rise from producers of crop products of 1.9%. Livestock producers reduced prices for their products 0.5%. In particular, a decrease in agricultural producer prices was noted in Armenia (4.2%) and Belarus (0.5%), while an increase was seen in Kyrgyzstan (10.2%), Kazakhstan (1.8%) and Russia (0.1%).

In annual terms, March prices were down 1.9%, including a drop of 3.2% for crop products and 0.6% for livestock products.

On average for January-March 2026 compared to the same period last year, agricultural producers reduced prices for their products 2.1%. In particular, in Russia the decrease was 5.4%. In Armenia prices rose 2.6%, in Belarus they were up 0.9%, in Kyrgyzstan they increased 11.7% and in Kazakhstan they rose 11.9%. Producers of crop products reduced prices 3% while prices for livestock products fell 1.4%.

As reported, in 2025 compared to the previous year, EAEU agricultural producers increased prices for their products 8.5%. In Armenia prices rose 4.7%, in Belarus they increased 8.4%, in Kyrgyzstan they were up 15.5% and in Russia they increased 9.8%. In Kazakhstan, prices decreased 0.1%. Producers of crop products increased prices 10.3% over the year. In Armenia the increase was 7.3%, in Belarus it was 6.9%, in Kazakhstan it was 1.1%, in Kyrgyzstan it was 17.2% and in Russia it was 12.1%. Producers of livestock products increased prices 7.5%, including in Armenia where prices rose 2.3%, in Belarus where they increased 8.8%, in Kazakhstan where they were up 1.3%, in Kyrgyzstan where the increase was 14% and in Russia where they rose 8%.
