Russia has several promising space projects with Indonesia - first deputy PM
MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax) - Russia and Indonesia have a number of promising space projects, Russia in particular has the experience for organizing and training an Indonesian astronaut, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said.
"The intensification of our space dialogue was helped by an Indonesian high-level delegation's attendance of the Space Week held in Russia last month. The portfolio already contains a number of promising projects," Manturov said at a plenary session on Tuesday.
"In particular, Russia has the expertise and the experience needed to prepare and organize a flight of the first Indonesian astronaut," he said.
Russia is set to develop international space cooperation and is working with a number of countries on pre-contractual training of national astronauts, Manturov said on April 9.
