Kremlin disappointed by IOC's decision to keep restrictions on Russian athletes in place - spokesman
MOSCOW. May 8 (Interfax) - The Kremlin is disappointed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC)'s decision to keep the restrictions on Russian athletes in place, however, Russia will continue its dialogue with the IOC and efforts to rejoin the Olympic family, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"We are disappointed by this decision. In general, we regret that the decision has been made," Peskov said at a press briefing in response to a related question.
He added that the IOC Legal Affairs Commission would "continue to work on the issue, on Russia's return to the Olympic family."
"We will also continue our dialogue with the International Olympic Committee. We will keep working, including at the level of specific federations," Peskov said.
