As reported, inflation in Ukraine jumped to 26.6% in 2022, before falling to 5.1% in 2023. It rose again to 12% in 2024 and then decreased to 8% in 2025, in part due to the National Bank of Ukraine's (NBU) fairly tight monetary policy.

At the end of April this year, the NBU worsened its inflation forecast for 2026 to 9.4% from 7.5%, and for 2027, to 6.5% from 6%, compared to its previous forecast.
