Naftogaz Group's net profit falls 83% in 2025

MOSCOW. May 4 (Interfax) - Naftogaz Group's consolidated profit fell 83.3% in 2025 to UAH 5.83 billion, Ukrainian media reported, quoting data from the government portal.

"Consolidated profit of UAH 5,830,390,868 according to the company's consolidated financial statements for 2025, of which profit attributable to the company's shareholder is UAH 3,232,964,605, is approved," says a government order.

The document says 30% of profit, amounting to UAH 969.9 million, will be allocated for dividends payable to the state budget, and 70% of profit, amounting to UAH 2.26 billion, will be used for statutory purposes.

In addition, net profit of UAH 1.65 billion was approved according to the company's separate financial statements for 2025, of which 5%, or UAH 82.3 million, should be allocated for reserve capital.

The government took note of the report by independent auditor KPMG Audit.

Naftogaz Group boosted net consolidated net profit by UAH 15 billion or 64% to just under UAH 38 billion in in 2024.

All key business segments demonstrated growth: gas production, transmission and storage, sales and distribution, and electricity and heat sales.

Gross profit for 2024 increased to UAH 89.1 billion, from UAH 48.5 billion in 2023. Operating profit rose 32% in 2024 to UAH 51.1 billion, from UAH 13.3 billion in 2023.

Naftogaz's results were confirmed by the independent international audit firm, KPMG.
