Russia enters top five global exporters of potato chips in 2025 - Agroexport
MOSCOW. April 30 (Interfax) - Russia ranked fifth in the world in the list of the largest potato chip exporters in 2025, the Agroexport federal center said, citing data from international statistics aggregators.
According to expert estimates, potato chip exports from Russia amounted to around 56,000 tonnes worth over $248 million last year. Compared to 2024, shipments increased 6% in physical terms and 23% in value terms, which is a record in the history of observations.
The Netherlands leads the global ranking ($664 million). It is followed by Belgium ($538.5 million), the United States ($356 million), Canada ($266 million) and Russia ($248 million).
According to Agroexport, chip exports continue to grow. In Q1 2026 (excluding data for the Eurasian Economic Union for March), Russia shipped around 11,000 tonnes of products abroad, worth over $50 million. In physical terms, growth stood at 16%, while in value terms it was 42%.
