Russia's Progress MS-34 resupply spacecraft to deliver over 2,500 of cargo to ISS - Roscosmos

MOSCOW. April 22 (Interfax) - Russia's Progress MS-34 resupply spacecraft scheduled to launch from Baikonur Cosmodrome on April 26 will deliver over 2,500 kilos of cargo to the International Space Station (ISS), the Roscosmos state space corporation said on Wednesday.

The payload will include fuel for refueling the station, food, drinking water, sanitary supplies, and oxygen for the ISS atmosphere, it said.

"The cargo also includes a new Orlan ISS No. 8 spacesuit for spacewalks," Roscosmos said.

In addition, the spacecraft will deliver equipment and expendables for experiments in orbit, particularly those designed to test the impact of weightlessness on vision, the vestibular system, and spatial orientation; the impact of stress on the immune and nervous systems, and the impact of microorganisms on materials inside the ISS, it said.

As reported, a Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle coupled with the Progress MS-34 is to be installed on Baikonur Cosmodrome's launch pad on April 23.
