Interfax, Nornickel sign agreement on information and analytical support for corporate security
MOSCOW. April 22 (Interfax) - Interfax and PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel have signed a cooperation agreement on information and analytical support for corporate security.
The agreement was signed at the annual conference "SPARK 2026: Transforming Corporate Risk Management Processes," held on April 22 in Moscow.
Interfax and Nornickel agreed to promote cross-sector projects and initiatives to encourage the exchange of practical expertise in business security, to promote best practices and develop a shared vision for the function of corporate security going forward.
They intend to involve specialists from leading companies, experts and representatives of analytical centers in this work, hold regular meetings to discuss new approaches to developing corporate security, and create working groups to test ideas in information and analytical support for the security of industrial assets and infrastructure.
At the first working meeting, held in preparation for signing the agreement, Nornickel experts presented a cross-sector study on the state and outlook for corporate security, summarizing the challenges faced.
The feasibility of establishing a permanent Center for Corporate Security Expertise (CSE) - a professional platform for corporate security, IT and risk management executives and experts - will be discussed at meetings with the professional community.
Sergei Gerasimov, Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Security at Nornickel, said the company was a long-standing information and analytics partner of Interfax. "As we strengthen our ties, we take the following factors into account: the presence of national macroeconomic challenges; the emergence of fundamentally new threats and the economic and reputational risks for domestic businesses emanating from them; and the development of information technologies in the field of security, including artificial intelligence," he said.
"Studying best practices and testing new ideas is particularly important today, when the potential of new technologies is radically transforming many corporate processes," Gerasimov said.
"We view the agreement with Nornickel, which is known for its own advanced corporate practices, as a practical tool for adopting a cross-sector approach when addressing economic security challenges," said Mikhail Komissar, Chairman, Interfax Group.
"Modern technologies and approaches present us with an opportunity to take a fresh look at traditional corporate processes, including in business security, and to develop innovative solutions to enhance them. We see demand from the sector, including for more effective, comprehensive information and analytical services. Interfax intends to focus on these emerging needs when developing its economic, credit and compliance risk management systems," he said.
