Official hryvnia-euro exchange rate slides to new low of UAH 51.4216/EUR1
MOSCOW. April 17 (Interfax) - The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) weakened the hryvnia-euro official exchange rate to a new all-time low of UAH 51.4216/EUR1 at the close of trading on Thursday, with the national currency sinking by almost UAH 0.15 in one day, Ukrainian media reported citing the NBU.
The previous lowest level was recorded on April 15, 2026, when the regulator set the hryvnia-euro official exchange rate at UAH 51.3253/EUR1.
The NBU has weakened the official hryvnia-euro exchange rate by 3.3%, or by UAH 1.63 since the beginning of 2026.
The hryvnia-dollar official exchange rate slid by UAH 0.12 to UAH 43.6368/$1 over the day, the NBU said.
