First delivery of 18 mass-produced MC-21 aircraft scheduled for 2026-2027 - Russian Deputy Industry and Trade Minister

MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - The first batch of 18 MC-21 mass production planes is scheduled to be delivered in 2026-2027, Russian Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Gennady Abramenkov said at a meeting of the Federation Council economic policy committee.

"The contract is currently for 18 aircraft, which are scheduled to be delivered in 2026-2027," he said.

The aircraft will be delivered to Aeroflot, manager of civil aviation programs at PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Oleg Bogomolov said. The appearance and all of the technical characteristics of the plane have been agreed on with Aeroflot and the method of operation and after-sale servicing have almost been prepared fully.

Bogomolov said that 72 Russian planes had been ordered under contracts so far. As well as the 18 MC-21 aircraft for Aeroflot, 42 SJ-100s will be produced for the Azimuth, Red Wings and Aurora airlines, 100 Tu-214 for Red Wings and three Il-114-300 for JSC 2nd Arkhangelsk United Aviation Division. He said that demand for the Il-114-300 had turned out to be "very vast", with two more companies also seeking to acquire the first three planes produced.
