Yerevan to withdraw from CSTO, EAEU if Moscow raises gas price - Armenian parliament speaker
YEREVAN. April 6 (Interfax) - Armenia will withdraw from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) if Russia raises gas prices for Armenia, Armenian parliament speaker Alen Simonyan said.
"Such talk is nothing new, for instance, talk about imports of Armenian goods and the gas price. I should say that if they decide to do it Armenia will make a decision of its own and completely withdraw from the CSTO and the EAEU," Simonyan said at a press briefing on Saturday.
"Still, I believe things won't come to that, as the two heads of state have had a very good, productive conversation," he said.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks in Moscow on April 1.
